Presentation at University of Texas

In April 18 of 2014, I had the honor to present at University Texas at Austin, I screened my documentary Nosotros, Afroperuanos and answered questions about the current situation of racial issues in Peru. I was invited by Dr. PhD Christen Smith from the Department of Antropology and African and African Diaspora Studies (AADS). It was such a great opportunity to know this renowed university and meet many Brazilians among other students who attend school there. We had a great conversation and I can't thank Dr Smith enough for the invitation.

Experience as FLEFF 2014 Fellow Graduate Student

In April of 2014 I had the opportunity to attend the 17th Annual Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival, at Ithaca College, in New York as a Fellow. It as a great experience to see diverse films related to environmental issues, attend workshops and network with other graduate students from many universities. I totally encourage other graduate students to apply for this fellowship. Here is the website of the festival.

One of the documentaries that really marked me was Cotton Road, by filmmaker Laura Kissel. Make sure you check the project out,

Here are some pictures of the event.
