The documentary "Nosotros, afroperuanos", directed by Gabriela Watson and Danielle Almeida, had its premiere at the 6th Meeting of Cinema Black: Brazil, Africa and the Caribbean, in Rio de Janeiro, and in February of 2013, as part of our journey of exploration and cultural exchange we had the opportunity to organize an exhibition held with the support of NGOs CEDET - Centro de Desarrollo Etnico, located in Lima - Peru. The screening was ​​at the Cultural Center of Spain and was attended by about eighty people including young activists and public in general . The screening of the documentary was followed by a presentation on the current situation of Afro-Brazilians in terms of laws, policies and achievements. The feedback was very positive, the audience enjoyed the video and as a result gave up a conversation related to the realities of black populations in Brazil and Peru.

O documentário "Nosotros, afroperuanos", dirigido por Gabriela Watson e Danielle Almeida, teve sua estreia no 6º Encontro de Cinema Negro: Brazil, Africa e Caribe, no Rio de Janeiro, e em fevereiro como parte da nossa viagem de pesquisa e intercâmbio cultural, tivemos a oportunidade de organizar uma exibição realizada com apoio da ONG Cedet - Centro de Desarrollo Etnico, localizada em Lima - Peru. A exibição foi feita no Centro Cultural da Espanha e foi prestigiada por cerca de oitenta pessoas entre jovens, militantes e interessados em geral. A exibição do documentário fio seguida de uma apresentação sobre a atual situação dos afro-brasileiros em termos de leis, políticas públicas e conquistas.  O retorno foi muito positivo, o público apreciou o vídeo e na sequência deu-se uma conversa relacionada às realidades das populações negras no Brasil e no Peru.

No mês de fevereiro de 2013, dando continuidade ao projeto de intercâmbio cultural com o Peru, Gabriela Watson e Danielle Almeida fizeram outra viagem ao país andino, desta vez, os objetivos eram realizar oficinas em duas comunidades ao norte do país: a cidade de Zaña, visitada previamente por Gabriela em 2008 e o povoado de Capote, ambos ficam no departamento de Lambayeque, o segundo objetivo era divulgado o documentário realizado por ambas "Nosotros, afroperuanos", gravado em 2011. As oficinas foram parte do projeto Palenque Infantil, realizado pela ONG Cedet - Centro de Desarrolo Etnico, focado em crianças e pré-adolescentes com o objetivo de fortalecer o conceito de identidade negra, comunidade e auto-estima. As oficinas contaram com a introdução de conceitos, palavras e história da população negra nas Américas a partir de músicas e jogos desenvolvidos por Danielle Almeida e pela exibição do documentário "Nosotros, afroperuanos". In February of 2013, continuing the project of cultural exchange with Peru, Gabriela Watson and Danielle Almeida made ​​another trip to the Andean country, this time, the objectives were hold workshops in two communities north of the country: the city of Zaña , previously visited by Gabriela in 2008 and the town of Capote, both are in the department of Lambayeque, the second goal was released the documentary made by both "Nosotros, afroperuanos" recorded in 2011. The workshops were part of the project Palenque Infantil, conducted by NGO CEDET - Centro de Desarrollo Etnico, focused on children and pre-adolescents with the goal of strengthening the concept of black identity, community and self-esteem. The workshop counted with the introduction of concepts, words and history of black people in the Americas from music and games developed by Danielle Almeida and the screening of the documentary "Nosotros, afroperuanos".
